1 18 1/4 1735 3,000 block of Pine Run, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a report of a CO alarm activation. C1 and E12 responded. Homeowner advised the CO alarm was at least 16 years old. E12's crew confirmed 0ppm readings throughout the home. Homeowner was advised to replace all alarms older than 10 years. Chief Plumb (C,R) 5 2 1
2 9 1/6 0946 Sheridan Ave/Calkins Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a report of a grass fire near the intersection. C1, C2 & E21 responded. On scene located 4 fires along a 1 mile stretch that was extinguished by fire personnel. Chief Plumb (C,R) 6 2 B
3 18 1/8 1225 9,000 block of Luea Ln, Swartz Creek Dispatched for the report of a CO alarm per the homeowner. E12 responded and upon made contact with the above homeowner and entered the residence with the CO detector to investigate. No CO readings were noted. CO detector was found to be faulty and homeowner was notified of the findings and advised to obtain a new CO detector. Sgt Fornari (C,R) 5 1 1
4 10 1/8 1425 5,000 block of Birchcrest, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a report of a resident burning leaves. E11 responded. Upon arrival the crew noted smoke coming from the rear of the residence. Further investigation found a 4ft x 4ft pile of leaves and a shipping pallet burning, unattended. The homeowner complied and extinguished the fire using a garden hose. Sgt Fornari (C,R) 5 2 1
5 5 1/8 2154 5,000 block of Fernwood, Flint Twp Dispatched mutual aid with an air unit to Flint Twp for a residential structure fire. E12 responded. S-26 and C-4 arriving on location with a cable line down across the roadway. C-4 advised E-21 to shut down eastbound traffic until the hazard can be removed. 12 12 1/21 1158 8,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a report of a commercial fire alarm, C1 responded and arrived on location shortly after dispatch. Office manager advised that trip was due to burnt food. All units were canceled. Chief Plumb (C,R) 7 4 B
13 12 1/22 19:59 4,000 block of Roundhouse Dr., Swartz Creek Dispatched for a natural gas odor in the area. E-12 and C-4 responded. The odor was unfounded. C-4 spoke face-to-face with the caller and advised him to call back if he was able to smell natural gas odor. Batt. Chief Cole (C,R) 12 4 1
14 12 1/29 1155 3,000 block of  Elms Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for the report of a commercial fire alarm. R1 responded and reported no signs of fire noted from the exterior of the structure. 17 18 2/4 1608 4,000 bloock of Van Vleet Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched to for a CO alarm activation. R1 and E12 responded. Residents stated that their detector was reading 12 ppm. E12 crew investigated. Crew found readings throughout the home between 5 and 10 ppm. Crew began natural ventilation and eventually found a source in the attached garage. Readings in the garage were 50 ppm. Owners stated that prior to the incident the car was running for a short time with the door closed. Following ventilation readings throughout home were 0 ppm.  Sgt Tabit (C,R) 10 2 1
18 12 2/7 0741 7,000 block of  Rosewood Dr, Clayton Twp Dispatched to a report of a residential fire alarm via keypad. R1 responded and made contact with the homeowner who stated she accidentally set the fire alarm off via the keypad and there was no fire. R1 canceled all units. Sgt Fornari (C,R) 5 3 B
19 5 2/8 1413 3,000 block of Courtz Isle, Flint Twp Responded mutual aid to Flint Twp on a 2nd MABAS box alarm to a commercial structure fire. E12 responded and was the first mutual aid company to arrive. SCAFD's crew was sent to the second floor to performed a secondary search on all apts on the second floor. 20 9 2/8 1548 WB I 69/Nichols Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a grass fire at I 69 and Morrish. E11, C2 and G17 responded. The fire was located on the right shoulder between VanVleet and Nichols. E11 took the right lane and shoulder and began extinguishment. The fire was extinguished without incident using 100 gallons of water. Assist Chief Tabit (C,R) 6 4 1

23 18 2/14 1641 4,000 block of S. Van Vleet Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched or the report of a chemical odor in the residence. E12 responded. Engine-12's crew investigated and a space heater in use. 24 18 2/15 1759 10,000 block of Calkins Rd, Clayton Twp. Dispatched for a CO call E21 responded. Investigation found CO detector reading of 44ppm. Gas was turned off to a stove and a fan was used to clear the structure to zeros. Capt. Warning (C,R) 7 1 2
25 1 2/16 0220 1,000 block of N. Nichols Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched with AMA from Gaines, Flushing and Venice for a Barn Fire. C2, C1, E21, T23, G17 and E12 responded. On arrival found a full involved barn fire, 2nd alarm was requested for tankers. Vernon, Durand, Hazelton and Montrose assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. 34 1 2/29 0652 7,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched with AMA from Flushing and Gaines for a commercial structure fire. E11, E12, E21 and C4 responded. On arrival nothing was showing and all AMA were advised to standby at their stations. SCAFD crews laddered the roof to check all roof top vents and air handling systems. Roof crew checked with the thermal imager and physically checking all roof top systems finding nothing. No smoke was seen inside or coming from the roof. Batt Chief Cole (C,R) 7 3 B

36 1 3/8 1825 6,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched along with AMA from Flushing and Gaines for a residential structure fire. C2,C1,E12,E21 & G17 responded. On arrival report found smoke showing from all the gable and ridge vents of a single-story single-family home. 37 1 3/8 2039 2,000 block of N. Morrish Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a residential structure fire with AMA from Flushing and Gaines, Crews had just cleared Run #36 at time of Dispatch. E21, E11 and S26 responded. Fire was initially out per homeowner, on arrival fire was showing on bravo. Crews completed extinguishment and overhaul checking for extension. Capt. Warning (C,R) 9 3 B
38 16 3/10 1850 Morrish Rd/Beecher Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a  for multiple vehicle accident with wires down on one of the cars, no PD available. E21, E22, S26 and R1 responded. Crews set up a safe zone and rerouted traffic. No wires were found a the vehicle. Scene was turned over to CAPD and EMS on their arrival.  Capt. Warning (C,R) 11 3 2

40 16 3/15 2047 5,000 block of S. Seymour Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a transformer that exploded and a power outage in the area. C2& E11 responded. Investigation found a primary pole to pole wires down across several fences and yards behind the originating location. Crews spoke with residents in the area advising them not to go into their back yards or to touch metal fences around their yards. CE was notified and on their arrival they looked for the circuit to open to make the area safe. Assist Chief Tabit (C,R) 7 2 1
41 6 3/17 0215 EB I 69/Rest Area Dispatched for a rollover vehicle fire. E11 & C1 responded. On arrival found a fully engulfed jeep on fire. E11 arrived and stretched the 1" bumper load for extinguishment. Crews remained on scene until the tow arrived and loaded the vehicle. Chief Plumb (C,R) 9 2 1
42 11 3/26 1826 7,000 block of Granda Dr, Clayton Twp Dispatched for an odor of smoke in the apartment. C2, E21 and R1 responded. Investigation found an occupant stating she woke to the odor of something burning. There was an odor of something hot in the apartment that smelled like hot or melted plastic. Further investigation found the furnace was not running with the odor prevalent in the heat register in the bedroom. Tenant to contact maintenance. Assist Chief Tabit (C,R) 7 5 B
43 1 3/26 2311 3,000 block of Dye Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched with AMA from Flushing and Gaines for a residential structure fire. C1, E12 & E21 responded. Upon arrival confirmed a kitchen fire was out and AMA was canceled. E12's crews confirmed extinguishment and set up positive pressure ventilation and E21 set on roadway traffic control . 44 3 3/27 2356 6,000 block of S Sheridan Ave, Gaines Twp Responded AMA to Gaines Township Fire Department (GTFD) for a residential structure fire. C4, E12 & S26 responded. SCAFD crews arrived to find a 2 story residence 50% engulfed in flames. E12s crew knocked down the majority of the fire with the deck gun, then follow up with stretching 2.5 inch handlines to continue fire extinguishment. Batt. Chief Cole (C,R) 5 6 B

48 18 4/8 1019 5,000 block of Brady St, Swartz Creek  Dispatched or the report of a strong odor of natural gas in the area. E12 responded. Crews located the source of the odor and hissing sound coming from the gas meter. The leak was after the shutoff valve and proceeded to shut the gas off to stop the leak and consumers was notified. 51 5 4/11 0117 4,000 block of Wickfield, Flint Twp Responded on a 2nd box alarm to assist Flint Twp on a residential structure fire with a engine and manpower as well as a tanker and air. E12 and T23 responded. T23 was cancelled due to an established water supply. E12's crew was ordered to stretch a line up the interior stairwell. Crew laddered the stairwell due to its instability heavy fire was encountered on the second floor, E12's crew pushed to the end of the hallway and knocked the remaining fire in multiple rooms, once complete, the crew also performed overhaul operations. 53 5 4/13 2347 3,000 block of Beecher Rd, Flint Twp Responded on a second alarm from Flint Township Fire Department on a commercial structure fire. E12 responded. Upon arrival, E12's crew was assigned to primary search and located the stairs to the second floor where they found the seat of the fire where E12's crew was able to knocked down the bulk of the fire on the second floor. 54 2 4/15 1906 9,000 block of Frances Rd, Flushing Dispatched AMA to Flushing for a residential structure fire. As E22 approached the scene the fire was reported out and SCAFD units were canceled. Sgt. Diekman (R) 7 7 B
55 9 4/16 1416 8,000 block of Corunna Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a report of an unattended grass fire approaching a residential structure. Upon Grass-17's arrival Lt. Fornari assumed Corunna Rd. command. Grass-17 extinguished the grass fire and the pile of brush that was burning. The area burned was approximately 40ft. x 50ft. Grass-17 extinguished all fire. Lt. Fornari advised the homeowner to call 911 again if the fire starts again or any other hazards arise. Lt. Fornari terminated Corunna rd. command and all units were clear of the scene in service. 56 16 4/17 1521 6,000 block of Brisol Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched to a report of a wire down. Before units could respond, PD advised that the wires were communication lines and were removed by the police. Assist. Chief  Tabit (C,R) 4 5 1
57 16 4/17 1755 4,000 block of Jennie Ln, Swartz Creek Dispatched for power lines down in a back yard. C2, R1 & E11 responded. Investigation found 2 communications lines down in the back yard of all the houses on Jennie Lane. It appeared that the wires were new and being installed in the area but just not hung up on the pole yet. Assist. Chief Tabit (C,R) 7 6 1
58 15 4/18 1120 5,000 block of Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a possible oil leak in the creek a residence. Representatives from Swartz Creek DPS, Metro Police Authority, Emergency Management, the Health Department, and the Genesee County Drain Commission Surface Water Division were on the scene upon the SCAFD my arrival. The Genesee County HazMat team was requested Thie incident was turned over to Michigan EGLE who responded to the site. The HazMat team supervisor advised he had enough support on the scene and no longer needed the fire department. Assist. Chief Tabit (C,R) 5 5 B

61 5 4/25 0820 500 block of Suncrest, Flint Twp Responded to Flint Twp on a second alarm for a Commercial Structure Fire. 63 15 4/28 0838 Corunna Rd/Morrish Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched at the request of CTPD for a washdown at the scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident. E21 and R1 responded. Investigation found a fuel tank was damaged and was steadily leaking Diesel fuel. E21's crew obtained the spill kit and successfully stopped the leak. The crew also applied absorbent Lieut. Arrived on scene found pole in owners yard smoldering, transformer discolored and fuse was popped. Crews taped off area and waited until consumers arrive. Sgt Diekman (C,R) 6 2 1
67 18 5/6 0710 5,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched an odor of natural gas. C2 and E11 responded and found a relive valve that was open on some above ground pipes and relieving natural gas. For crew safety, E-11 positioned their apparatus to extinguish the fire with the truck mounted deluge gun. Once the fire was knocked down, members stirred up the trash and completed extinguishment. E11's crew made contact with the semi truck driver who had extinguished a small fire in the right rear tire / break drum via a dry chemical extinguisher.
